I've had Han Bat Sul Lung Tang on my radar for quite some time now, but with my trips to Los Angeles becoming less frequent, I finally had the chance to pay them a visit during my latest stay. Let me tell you, it was everything I hoped for. Han Bat Sul Lung Tang keeps things simple, and that's part of its charm. Their menu is as straightforward as it gets, with just a handful of options: Sul lung tang (the ox bone soup combo), suyuk (the meat), and drinks. That's pretty much it, and guess what? That's all they need because what you see is what goes into making their signature soup. So, what's the deal here? It's all about warmth and comfort. The soup itself is clean and unpretentious, a blank canvas that you get to season with your own salt (don't forget to sprinkle in a generous amount of green onion for that extra kick). Each order comes with your standard ban chan (side dishes) and rice, allowing you to tweak and mix flavors to your heart's content.

This is hands down the best sul lung tang I've ever had and would go out of my way for. Han Bat has a very limited menu but their specialty really shines through. You can choose what type of meats you want in your soup and they come perfectly tender. They have a few side dishes (kimchi and radish) but you can tell they're all homemade and add tanginess and texture to the soup meats.

One of the best places in koreatown for sul lung tang! Been coming here for ages and I'm glad they're still going hard! The taste reminds of me grandmas love for you on a Sunday morning! Lol usually would frequent this place after a night of drinking bc it's literally the best soup for hangovers but dropped by earlier today bc I was craving some good old fashioned Korean food. Service is decent, it's like an aunt taking care of you when you come visit. But you're usually in and out within 30-40 minutes and don't really need anything except more water or kimchi/kaktoogi Come check it out for a quick heart warming meal

My go-to spot in Koreatown! You get your food as soon as you order, which is very convenient! The broth is thick and creamy, and very comforting! Generous portion of meat and noodles. Make sure to ask for the sliced green onions! You get two types of kimchi with your meal: cabbage and radish, and both are seasoned to perfection, you will ask for refills, guaranteed!

TLDR: If you're in the mood for a clean, healthy bone broth and a simple meal, this is the spot for you! Bonus points for supporting a local business that is inclusive and not discriminatory of Korean, Spanish, and English backgrounds. Between the businesses that I have visited in Koreatown, this is one of the healthiest ones with staff members of all backgrounds sharing laughs and communicating in one another's languages.
